Frantsila meets world.
As we mentioned in a previous post, Frantsila recently participated in the Helsinki New Fashion Showcase, a dynamic new campaign that brings international media and buyers to Helsinki, in an effort to help Finnish companies increase business opportunities and build a network of transnational partners.
As part of the event, Frantsila hosted an intimate dinner presentation at our Helsinki showroom, in the heart of old Ullanlinna’s garden district, featuring a seasonal local menu, provided by Mat catering, and an endless supply of our Midsummer Rose natural cosmetics, to refresh the belly and freshen the face.
Fortunately, mother nature decided to give us the perfect late May evening, where our guests enjoyed a local fresh menu, including avocado and flower mélange and rhubarb, rose and Finnish cheese. The highlight of the evening came when our founder, Virpi Raipala-Cormier, gave a short presentation about Frantsila Farm, which she illustrated with a local Finnish custom, the binding of Finnish sweet grass with the well-wishes of all our guests.
The showcase was focused on Asian markets this year, although we were honored to host guests from all over the world, including Japan, Korea, China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Germany, France, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, Sweden, the U.K. and U.S. It was a genuine pleasure meeting everyone — the beautiful weather and all the beautiful people made for a lovely and memorable event.
Finally, we would like to thank the organizers, especially the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Finpro, and Juni, for putting together such a diverse and interesting campaign, which is a real benefit for smaller Finnish companies like ours. Kiitos and big kisses to all!
